Patient information
Symptoms and diagnosis
Symptoms can vary greatly and often have causes other than blood cancer. Persistent tiredness, frequent infections or fever, easy bruising or bleeding, swollen lymph nodes, night sweats, or unintentional weight loss should be discussed with a qualified clinician, especially if they persist or worsen.
How a diagnosis is assessed
A clinician may begin with your history, examination, and blood tests. Depending on the situation, more specialised tests or imaging may be considered. Only a medical professional can interpret results in the context of your individual health.
